For those receiving other benefits

  • The insured who is eligible to several benefits due to an accident at work.

  • If a person is entitled - in old age - to both a permanent work disability pension and an old-age pension or a survivors’ pension, under special circumstances the National Insurance Institute may capitalize his work disability pension (in other words, pay him a lump-sum grant instead of a work disability pension), and after the capitalization, he will be paid the old-age pension or the survivors’ pension that is due to him.
  • A person who is entitled to a work disability pension for one incident and to a benefit or grant under other laws must choose one of the benefits.
