Submitting a work-injury allowance claim
A foreign worker victim of a work injury needs to take the following actions:
- Fill out a request to issue a temporary ID number
- After receiving an ID number, submit a claim for work-injury allowance via the website, and attach to the claim a valid residence permit and a passport photocopy.
the claim will be processed by the branch nearest the foreign worker's place of residence in the country.
The employer of the foreign worker needs to:
Fill out for the worker a form for the provision of health care to the work injured (BL/250) to refer the foreign work to medical treatment.
Important information! The foreign worker injured at work for his employer, will be subject to the conditions applicable to a salaried employee.
Receiving medical care
A foreign worker recognized as victim of work injury will be eligible by law for medical care related to the recognized injury.
