You may be eligible for a one-time apartment replacement grant.
Conditions of entitlement
- The apartment you want to replace is your only apartment (no ownership of another apartment in full or in part).
- The new apartment is an accessible apartment (low floor or with elevator).
- The price of the new apartment is more expensive than the price of the existing apartment.
Grant amount
The grant amount is NIS 163,454.
Anyone entitled to assistance in purchasing an apartment also due to the entitlement of a bereaved family or a family of hostages will be able to receive combined assistance.
As part of the combined assistance, the higher of the two entitlements and half of the amount of the assistance in the other entitlement will be given.
In any case, the assistance provided by the Rehabilitation Department is a supplementary amount granted upon proof of payment of the rest of the total cost of the apartment.
How to receive the grant?
To receive the grant, the rehabilitation worker must be presented with a grant/loan application (BL/590), an apartment sale contract and an apartment purchase contract with a receipt for the first installment (the contract should specify on which floor the apartment is located and whether there is an elevator in the building).
When purchasing an apartment from family members, a caveat should be presented in the land registry or a certificate of registration of rights in the Israel Lands Authority.
In case of an apartment under construction, the following documents must be added: a building permit, price quotes that allow to determine the cost of construction, an agreement or contract with the contractor on the execution of the construction and approval of a supervisor, engineer or architect on the completion of the framework construction.
