Due to the war relaxations and modifications apply to the conditions of entitlement to unemployment benefits for those laid off or put on unpaid leave by their employer between 7.10.23 and 30.12.23.

Those who stopped working before 7.10.23
Their claim for unemployment benefits will be examined according to the regular conditions of entitlement.

Those laid off or put on unpaid leave by their employer between 7.10.23 and 30.12.23 will receive the following relaxations:
Shorter qualifying period
- The qualifying period required to receive unemployment benefits was cut down to 6 months within the 18 months prior to registration with Employment Service (instead of 12 months).
Please note that in the 6 months are not accounted for the months of regular military service. - For recipients of a disability pension from the National Insurance - the qualifying period is cut down to - 3 months.
Canceling waiting days deduction from the first month
The 5 waiting days will not be deducted from the first month of unemployment, but will deducted once every 4 consecutive months.
Shorter period of unpaid leave qualifying to unemployment benefits
- The period of unpaid leave qualifying to unemployment benefits is shortened to 14 days at least (instead of 30 days so far).
- Cancelation of the obligation to exhaust days of paid leave: those put on unpaid leave are not required to exhaust their remaining vacation days due by their employer, in order to receive unemployment benefits.
Extension of unemployment days for repeat unemployed under 40 years old
The unemployed who is still under 40 years old, and have submitted several claims for unemployment benefits in the last 4 years - can receive regularly a total payment of up to 180% of his days of entitlement over 4 years.
Due to the war, the repeat unemployed or the person put on unpaid leave by his employer between 7.10.23 and 30.12.23, and have submitted a new claim for unemployment during that period, and have ended his days of eligibility for unemployment benefits - will receive an automatic extension of unemployment days until 30.12.23 or until the end of the Temporary Order, only if he or she did not use up all 180% of eligibility days over 4 years.
Unemployment benefits for those evacuated from their settlements
The insured who lives in a settlement that has been evacuated under a decision by the government (including repeat unemployed under 40 years old) - can be entitled to unemployment benefits between 7.10.23 and 30.12.23 or until the end of the Temporary Order, without limit of days, even if he or she ended the days of entitlement to unemployment benefits.
If his or her year of eligibility for unemployment benefit has ended during that period, it will be extended automatically until the 30.12.23.
Unemployment benefits to workers under the Order on classification of insured persons
Instructors, lecturers and teachers, artists and tour guides who meet the criteria of the Order on the classification of insured persons (as detailed below), and whose workplace has ceased operations due to the war - may be eligible for unemployment benefits.

Registration with and reporting to Employment Service
One of the conditions of entitlement to unemployment benefits is registering with and reporting to the Employment Service.

Submitting a claim for unemployment benefits
Issuance of a Form 100 by your employer to fast-forward your claim for unemployment benefit
To speed up the handling process of your claim and avoid being required to present irrelevant documents, it is very important to make sure that your employer has issued to us a Form 100 after work termination, which should mention the date of work termination and the balance of your vacation days, if you went out on unpaid leave.
To those under an active claim
There is no need to submit another claim, only to report on the website if there is any stoppage of your new employment.
