A disability pension is paid on the 28th of the month directly to the bank account of the recipient. If, in the opinion of the National Insurance Institute, the person entitled to the pension is not capable, because of her disability, to utilize the pension for her own good or for the good of her “dependents” (her children), the pension will be paid (totally or partially) to a person appointed by the National Insurance Institute as the pension recipient (the pension will be paid into the bank account of that person).
If the guardian of the woman entitled to the pension submitted the claim for the pension, it will be paid into a bank account opened by the guardian in the name of the woman entitled.
