Volunteer abroad

​In specific cases, you will also be covered with volunteers insurance for volunteering activity conducted outside of Israel.

You will be insured as volunteers abroad in the following cases:

• The volunteering activity is conducted in a locality within the Area (Judea and Samaria and Gaza strip) according to the objectives set forth in National Insurance regulations.
• The volunteering activity of young women of national service, in the field of education and promotion of Alyia even outside of Israel.
• Advancement and promotion of Alyia to Israel conducted on behalf of the Jewish Agency.
• Volunteering activity conducted in catastrophe or war zones.

Are recognized as volunteer those injured abroad and fulfilling one of the following conditions:

• Enrollment as volunteer made by a public ministry or a public body authorized to enroll volunteers.
• The volunteer is send from Israel to a destination where unfolds a situation of emergency, war or catastrophe, to which the country have sent personnel on its behalf for relief.
• The volunteering period does not exceed 60 consecutive days.
• Volunteering follows the below objectives set forth in National Insurance regulations:

1. Educative or social care for the benefit of families, children or youth.
2. Immigrants absorption.
3. Provide care tor elderly, disabled or sick people, or to their families.
4. Provide continued help in operating residences or institutions for elderly, disabled or sick people.
