A person who is hurt or sustains damage from a tort committed by a volunteer during the volunteer activity, and has no right to compensation from anyone other than the volunteer, may submit a claim for compensation. The claim will be deliberated by a committee of three members appointed by the Minister of Finance, to handle claims of this type.
