Preparing documents for the Board
It is well known that people get nervous when appearing in front of the Medical Board and sometimes may forget things. Therefore it is recommended that you make a list of the impairments or illnesses from which you suffer and which you wish to present to the Board.
You must bring an identity card or other identifying document with you. You cannot be examined by a Medical Board without an identifying document.
If you were asked to produce additional documents which the Board does not have, please organize the documents neatly, and prepare copies of the documents you wish to leave with the Board.
Arriving at the Board and meeting schedules
- Make sure you know exactly where the Board is being held.
- Arrive at the time determined and stated in the summons. At the same time you should be aware that the time determined for you by the Board is flexible, according to various constraints, and you may have to wait a while for your turn.
- Wait until the Board secretary calls you to come in. It's possible that the Board doctors are busy summing up a previous Board, or alternatively examining your documents, prior to your entry to the Board.
- You arrived first but you didn't go in first? Don't get mad! The order of entrance to the Board room is not always based on the order of arrival. The Board is entitled to call in another invitee, due to medical or other reasons which are not always visible.
- The doctors will allot the time required for the Board in accordance with your illness or medical impairments and the complexity of the examination required.
