Bereaved parents, spouse of the victim (widow, widower or common-law spouse), orphan (in case of death of the widow) or the brother (in case of death of bereaved parents) - are entitled to an annual grant of participation to memorial service expenses.
If the victim had no parents, the grant will be paid to one of the victim's siblings.
If the victim had no spouse, the grant will be paid to one of the orphans of the victim.
In presence of multiple eligible person (several orphans or brothers) - the eligible will send the Hostile Actions Casualty Department of the local branch, a joint statement of consent appointing one of the family members as beneficiary of the grant. This statement may also be provided through the website.
Grant amount: NIS 1,047 (as of January 2024).
How the grant is paid?
To bereaved parents, the spouse of the victim (widow, widower or common-law spouse) entitled to monthly compensations - the grant is paid automatically during the month of death, according to Gregorian calendar.
When a compensation is paid - a memorial service grant claim shall be submitted to the Hostile Actions Casualty Department of the local branch, in order to obtain the grant.

For a victim who did not leave any survivor - the memorial service grant is paid to the relative who bore the costs of service, and did submit a claim for payment of grant to the Hostile Actions Casualty Department of a branch, together with receipts.
