Persons with a disability level of 10% and above (who receive a monthly benefit) are entitled to a contribution towards funding the studies of their children who are under the age of 30 (provided that he or she is their only breadwinner).
The grant is due to people whose children as fully-fledged students for a bachelor's degree at a higher education institute or a teachers seminar, or a technological school for practical engineers and technicians or a nursing school.
The grant is also due to the children of deceased disabled person, as long as their spouse receives benefits, provided that the children began their studies prior to the deceased person's demise.
The grant is paid for the current academic year, annually after march, for a period of three years (if the degree requires four years of study than the grant will be paid for three years).
Grant amount
40% of the actually paid tuition fee (following deduction of scholarships, discounts etc.), but not more than 40% of the maximum tuition fee determined by the council for higher education.
Application
The application for the grant must be submitted at the end of the first semester (and not earlier), but no later than the end of the budget year, on an Application Request Form for a Contribution to Funding the Studies of Children of Victims of Hostilities at Higher Education institutes. Application submitted after that date will not be honoured. No applications are accepted for payment for previous years.
