The
accident allowance is paid in accordance with the number of days spent
with a loss of your functioning capacity, medical certificates you have
submitted and the decision of the NII.
Accident
allowance will be paid for 90 days days at the most, as of the next day
of the accident. If your capacity to function is prejudiced for more
than 90 days, you must examine your entitelment to a general disablility pension.
The day on which you start receiving the accident allowance is determined according to occupation:
A salaried employee or a self-employed person
is not paid the accident allowance for the first two days after the day
of the accident. The accident allowance for those two days is only paid
to a person who looses capacity to function for at least 12 days, not
including the date of the accident.
A person who is not a salaried employee or a self-employed person, including a housewife, is not paid an accident allowance for the first 14 days after the day of the accident.
If you were injured overseas, you will be eligible for a payment only as of your returning day.
Please note, accident allowance is not paid for more than 90 calendar days (from Januray to December).
