Reserve benefits have been paid to 90% of those entitled to payment

Further to updating payments to reservists, the National Insurance initiated payment at the beginning of the month and not at the end of the service period, as in normal circumstances, due to the security situation.

It should be noted that this has never been done in the State of Israel, and the National Insurance sought to promote such a move in order to provide a solution for the reservists, understanding that we are facing a long war and the reservists' income is a necessity in the circumstances.

As mentioned, the National Insurance asked IDF for the details of reservists in order to provide them payment at the beginning of the period.

Self-employed, students, and non-working citizens

  • 90% of those eligible in this group were paid reserve service benefits.
  • 10% of the group was not paid benefits due to an incorrect bank account, outdated information from IDF about the period, outdated occupation status (for example, an employee who stopped working near the service), etc.
The National Insurance optimizes the data for these reservists and will contact them personally.

Employees

The employers are obligated to pay reserve service days at the current wage, and the National Insurance has enabled them to demand a money refund immediately and not at the end of the period, and has established a system for them to report the period without documents and without bureaucracy.

The National Insurance emphasizes:
regarding an employee who did not receive his salary as usual – the employer must transfer him the payment, and if he did not receive his salary, he can contact the National Insurance.

Self-employed who are also salaried employees

  • For those earning above minimum wage as employees – benefits are paid to them automatically.
  • For those earning below minimum wage as employees – to avoid incurring debts, the employer must report and the payment will be adjusted to his income from his 2 occupations.
However, the National Insurance found that many employers did not report their employees serving in the reserves, and therefore the National Insurance will actively initiate contacts with all employers to ensure that all benefits are transferred as soon as possible.

Clarification

We are not able to release our data for field security considerations, but so far the percentage of benefit recipients is 90%.
