The National Insurance provides an income support benefit to children whose parents are both deceased or who have no family support from their parents (whether due to abandonment or inability to fulfill their parental obligations).
These children may be eligible for a benefit if they are not in a boarding school or other publicly funded out-of-home establishment.
Please note that during the High Holidays, Tishrei and Pesach vacations, the allowance may be received if the child is not in a boarding school at that time.
In some cases, the allowance will also be paid to young people over the age of 18:
- For youth up to age 20 who are completing their baccalaureate degree or studying at a pre-military preparatory school.
- For youth up to age 24 who are serving in national service, volunteering in a qualified organization, or studying in a technological Atuda.
