Assistance to bereaved families in marking the day of the 7 october massacre


​Ahead of marking the day of the year following the 7 October massacre, we will assist bereaved families in funding expenses related to memorial and transportation to cemetery, psychologically and emotionally, and more.


Ahead of the day following the first year since the Shabbat of the 7 October and the start of the "Iron Swords" war, we will contact bereaved families in order to help them in funding the expenses related to the remembrance.

Participation to memorial expenses

The bereaved parents and the spouses of the fatal victims are entitled to a participation to the memorial expenses amounting to NIS 1,047.
This payment will be transferred automatically on the bank accounts of eligible people in the month of passing according to secular calendar.

  • If the parents of the victim are divorced - each parent will receive funding separately.
  • In cases where the victim did not leave any living parent - the grant will be paid to one of the bereaved parents with the consent of the family.
  • In cases where the victim left no spouse - the grant will be paid to one of the orphans with the consent of the family.

Family members will also receive NIS 1,500 automatically as an aid in funding transportation to cemetery according to their request.
Please note that the amount paid this year includes an aid for the 11th month as well as for the day of death itself.
This entitlement will be transferred each and every year to bereaved families.

Mental assistance

In these complex times, during the month of October, the National Insurance will inform the families about the support line of Natal at the number 1-800-363-363.

Ths telephone line will be available at any time (except on Yom Kippur) for the sake of mental support and help. The support can be a one-time session or a longer series of treatments.

Remembrance of the victims

Currently, the National Insurance continues to update consistently the "Laad" Memorial website where is told the story of the life and death of the victims, and locates their place of burial across the country. In addition, it is possible to issue through the website a personalized memorial plaque to stick on the memorial candle with the name of the victim, as well as to light a memorial candle online on the website, and share it on social media.

On the State monument located on Mount Herzl for hostile actions casualties, the National Insurance works for engraving the names of each victims of terror killed since 7/10 up today.

During that period, we will also organize Zoom meetings and home visits conducted by the Rehabilitation Department for the interested families, and they will support them in these complex and hard times.

Dear families, our rehabilitation workers will continue to support you in this period, and in the next days an exhaustive file of rights will be published detailing your rights with all ministries and service organizations concerned. This file will be distributed physically and digitally to all bereaved families.
