One-time return grant


​The one-time return grant will be paid to those who stopped staying in a state-funded place of accommodation in the period between 1.3.24 and 1.6.24.

Who is entitled to a grant?

You will be entitled to a grant if you meet all the following conditions:

  1. You are an Israeli resident.
  2. Your home address in the records of the Population and Absorption Authority is located in one of the settlements qualifying for a grant.
    You can check whether your settlement qualifies for a grant on this calculator (in Hebrew).
  3. You a re not staying in a state-funded place of accommodation.
  4. You have declared that you are not staying in a state-funded place of accommodation.
    If you receive a child allowance - you have to declare the end of the stay for your children too. 
    Please note that there cannot be any split between the ending dates of stay of the adult and his children (for whom he receives child allowance).

Grant amount

The amount of the one-time grant is determined based on the ending date of stay in a state-funded place of accommodation and the number of children for whom you are paid child allowance.

Those who did not stay in a hotel

You will be entitled to a grant if you were entitled to a daily return grant or an occupancy grant for the date 29.2.24.

Grant amount: NIS 15,360 for an adult and NIS 7,680 for a child.

Those who stopped staying in a hotel

The amount of the grant will be determined based on the date on which they stopped their stay in a hotel, as detailed in the table below:

Method of payment

  • For those receiving a child allowance - the grant will be paid into the bank account on which the child allowance is transferred.
  • If you are not receiving child allowance - you can update your bank account details to receive the grant on this link. If failing to update bank account details - the grant will be paid to the bank account in the records of the National Insurance.
  • For foster child - the grant will be paid to the foster parent who is himself entitled to a grant.
  • There is no entitlement to receive a return grant for a foreign nursing caregiver, even if an occupancy grant has been paid on his behalf.
