Other groups of children

Besides its concern for children whose parents are unable to provide them with sufficient protection and well-being, the NII also worries about other children groups:

• Disabled child – may be entitled to a disabled child allowance, and in case his legs are impaired, to mobility benefits.
• Child injured in a hostile action – has the same rights as any adult victim of a hostile action: a monthly disability allowance and advantages, beside medical treatments  
• Working child victim of a work injury – a child who works since the age of 14 and older and has been injured at work or on his way to or back from work may be entitled to work injury benefits as any adult: medical treatment, injury allowance, work disability pension, rehabilitation and grants.
• Volunteering child injured during volunteer service – a child performing volunteer service since age 14 and older who was injured during his volunteer activity or on his was to or back from it, will be entitled to all work injury benefits as any adult injured while volunteering: medical treatment, injury allowance, work disability pension, rehabilitation and grants.
• Working child involved in pre-military education – may be eligible for reserve service benefit, after consulting the Reserve Service Commission and under the Minister's approval.
• Newborn hospitalized during birth and parenthood period – His parent is entitled to an expansion of the birth and parenthood period, and to receive payment of maternity leave during that extra time.
