  1. Insurance contributions for a soldier in the standing army of the IDF are paid by the State, on the basis of the soldier's wages.
  2. The State deducts the soldier's share of insurance contributions from his wages (as is the case regarding salaried employees). The rate of the deduction depends on the soldier's marital status and on his wife's insurance status.
