Payment of an uncollected pension
If the recipient of an old age pension dies and the full pension due to him or her is not collected, the uncollected pension (without the income supplement) is paid to the dependents, (widow, widower or orphans who are entitled to a survivors' pension).
If there are no dependent survivors, the uncollected pension will be paid to whomever proves they provided the deceased recipient with essential products or services during the last year of his or her life, and was not paid for them. The amount to be paid will not exceed the sum of six months of pension prior to the death.
In order to receive the uncollected pension, please fill out the Pension Balance Claim form.
