Definition of husband

Is considered a "husband" for purposes of increment to an old-age pension, the Israeli residentA person whose life is centered in Israel. Criteria for determining this include: Israel is your permanent place of residence, where your family resides, where your children go to school, your primary place of work, or where you are studying. who meets both conditions listed below:

• He has been your husband (including a common-law spouse living with you) for at least one year.
• He is 70 years old or more or between 50 and 70 years old, and his monthly income do not exceed NIS 7,146 (as of Jan 01, 2024).

Please note:

• Income from work: The income of the husband is evaluated every month, therefore every additional payment to his monthly salary (gross income), such as convalescence pay, clothing and so forth, could impact the husband's permitted monthly income, as well as the recipient's entitlement to an increment for a spouse.
