Marriage grant to a child whose parent is abducted/missing:
Who is eligible for a grant?
- A child under the age of 30 who married after the parent was abducted/missing – is entitled to a marriage grant of NIS 165,175 (as of Jul 01, 2023).
A child who has reached the age of 30 and has not yet been married, will receive a grant in the same amount as a marriage grant.
- A child up to the age of 37 whose parents are missing or abducted – is entitled to a double grant of NIS 330,350 (as of Jul 01, 2023).
If he was married on the day of the abduction/missing and he is not yet 37 years old – he can be entitled to 80% of the double grant, provided that from the day of his marriage until the day of the abduction/missing has not passed over two years.
How does one receive a grant?
To receive the grant, a copy of the marriage certificate must be sent to the Hostile Actions Casualties Department at the branch closest to the place of residence.

It is important to know that a child who has been paid a housing grant and then requests a marriage grant or a 30-year-old grant, will be paid the difference between the marriage grant and the housing grant he received.
Bar Mitzvah grant for children whose parent is abducted/missing:
The children will receive a grant when they reach the age of Bar Mitzvah.
The grant amount is NIS 10,208 (as of Jul 01, 2023).
Who is eligible for a grant?
- Daughters – upon reaching the age of 12 years,
- Sons – upon reaching the age of 13 years.
How does one receive a grant?
The grant is automatically paid with the benefit for the month in which the child celebrates his/her Bar Mitzvah age.
Grant to the spouse of an abducted/missing person whose children got married
Who is eligible for a grant?
The spouse of the abducted/missing person is entitled to a special grant on the occasion of the marriage of their children in the amount of NIS 9,131.
To receive the grant, you must meet these two conditions:
- The son or the daughter who are getting married are the children of the abducted/missing person.
- The abduction/disappearance occurred before the married son or daughter reached the age of 21.
