The family of a victim of hostile actions is entitled to a grant covering burial expenses (obituary notice, transporting the body from its place to the grave in Israel, funeral and gravestone).
Grant maximum amount: NIS 12,536 (as of Jan 01, 2024).
Who is entitled to burial costs coverage grant?
The grant is paid to the family member of the victim who bore the costs of burial, based on a declaration.
Who to obtain the grant?
The grant is paid based on a statement from one of the family members regarding the level of expenses. The statement shall be provided to the Hostile Actions Casualties Department of the local branch or by means of the website.
Please note: for a victim buried abroad - we will pay burial expenses up to a maximum amount of USD 1,300 only. Furthermore, the National Insurance will arrange and cover the expenses relate to the transportation of the victim to the burial place abroad.
