Orphans of hostile actions victims are entitled to a grant for apartment purchase aid amounting to NIS 134,875 (as of Jan 07, 2024).
Orphans who lost both parents in hostile actions are entitled to a double grant of NIS 269,750 (as of Jan 07, 2024).
Who is entitled to the housing grant?
To receive a housing grant for orphan, you need to meet all following conditions:
- Age - under 30 years old
- Apartment purchase - the purchased apartment is your only house
- Family status - you are single, and did not receive a marriage grant in the past
How to receive the grant?
To receive the housing grant, one must contact the Hostile Actions Casualties Department of your local branch of the National Insurance Institute or by means of the website, and provide the following documents:
- Purchase agreement - signed agreement between the seller of the apartment and you.
- In case of a "key money" apartment - notary certificate of purchase of the apartment by a private individual.
- In case of an apartment purchased with funds from a saving plan - supporting document showing that the effective purchase date is reached.
- In case of an apartment at early construction stages - detail of instalments to the developer.
Please note that the person who, after receiving a housing grant, claims for a marriage grant, will receive the difference between the marriage grant and the received housing grant. An orphan who lost both parents who meets the criteria for receiving this housing grant - is not entitled to the housing grant paid to a widow or widower due to hostile actions.
