Persons disabled in hostile actions are entitled to an annual grant for cooling their home during summer. Those suffering from a chronic disability and hospitalized in one of the hospitals or another treatment institution, are not eligible for the cooling grant.
Who is entitled to a cooling grant?
The disabled with a degree of disability of 50% and above are entitled to a cooling grant.
The amount of the grant is determined based on the level of eligibility, according to the area of residence (warm areas), the degree of disability and the type of prejudice.
Grant amount: NIS 541 - NIS 1,661 (depending on the level of eligibility).
How to receive the cooling grant?
Eligibility for cooling grant is determined following a decision by a Medical Board concerning the level of disability and impairments sections, then paid automatically together with the allowance for the month of May.
