Collective long-term care insurance for hostile actions disabled victims


Following an agreement reached by the Association of Victims of Hostilities with the Organization of IDF Disabled Persons  and Harel Insurance Company Ltd., the hostile actions disabled victims, who receive a monthly benefit (disability degree of 20% and above) from the National Insurance Institute, can subscribe to Harel's Collective Long-term Care Insurance Policy. 
Today, absent the possibility to subscribe to a private long-term care insurance, the agreement makes long-term care insurance accessible to you, providing you with an economic-medical safety net in nursing situations.

How do I subscribe to the insurance?

After a Medical Board determined the percentage of disability qualifying for a monthly benefit, you will be sent a for of consent to receive an offer and to share information with the insurance company.
The form must bee transferred completed and signed within 180 days since receiving the first allowance related to your disability (the email address for the transfer will appear on the form).

Please note that after sending back the form, the representative of the insurance agency "Simon Insurer" will contact you to continue the process.
It is clarified that the mere submission of the form as stated does not constitute a subscription to the insurance, and in order to properly subscribe insurance, it is required to comply with the conditions of subscription set forth in the policy, including medical underwriting.

Further information about the policy

The rate of state participation in the monthly insurance premium will be some NIS 125.95 per month (above 50% of total monthly premium). 
The amount of self-participation of the disabled amounts to  NIS 104.14.

For your information!

  • The National Insurance Institute wishes to clarify that despite the aforementioned financing, disabled victims of hostile actions are in contractual relationship with the insurance company "Harel" through the insurance agency "Simon Insurer". The National Insurance Institute has no connection with the procedure and all medical examinations and findings subject to medical confidentiality, which are not communicated to the National Insurance Institute.
  • The monthly compensation amount for a nursing event occurrence according to the policy, is NIS 4,362.98 linked to the index (as defined in the policy) for a maximum period of 60 months, after a waiting period of 90 days from the date of the occurrence of the insurance event. There may be changes in the amounts of the monthly compensation and premium  in accordance with the terms of the policy.
  • A person who has not yet reached the age of 3 years on the date on which he was first paid a monthly benefit as a hostile actions disabled victims - will be entitled to join the policy from the age of 3 years or more, if he signed the said form (through a guardian), within 180 days from the day he turned 3 years old, and subject to his compliance with the underwriting and accession conditions set forth in the policy, provided that at the time of actual subscription he actually receives a benefit from the National Insurance Institute.
