From October 1 to November 5, the National Insurance received 68,505 claims for unemployment benefits, of which 47,120 of employees who voluntarily left for unpaid leave, 21,385 claimed for unemployment benefits for other reasons such as layoffs.
- In the last 24 hours - 4,071 claims for unemployment benefits were added to the National Insurance, of which 3,955 were employees who left for unpaid leave.
- Since the beginning of the disaster of 7/10/23, 66,879 claims for unemployment benefits have arrived, of which 47,054 were claims from employees who voluntarily left for unpaid leave.
- Since the beginning of November, 17,836 claims for unemployment benefits have been received by the National Insurance, of which 15,767 were requests from employees who voluntarily left for unpaid leave.
Discussions on the unpaid leave plan
As mentioned, the legislation regarding the change in the unpaid leave plan has not yet passed. These days there are also discussions about its improvement as the National Insurance wishes to add to the unpaid leave plan a response for those on repeat unemployment and provide them additional days of entitlement, since every employee, under the age of 40 who was unemployed for the past 4 years and went on unpaid leave during the fighting – his entitlement is significantly shortened, and moreover, the National Insurance seeks in the plan a solution for people aged 67 and above.
