Since the beginning of the war, 199,905 citizens claimed unemployment benefits.
Based on our latest verifications, the legislation on extension of unpaid leave reliefs for the month of December only passed in Knesset.
- From the beginning of October to present day - 201,505 claimants of unemployment benefits reached the National Insurance. 139,674 of them were put on unpaid leave involuntarily.
- Since the beginning of the war on 7/10 - 199,905 claimants of unemployment benefits reached the National Insurance, as 139,624 of them were put on unpaid leave involuntarily.
- Since the beginning of December - 40,291 claimants of unemployment benefits reached the National Insurance, as 22,974 of them were put on unpaid leave involuntarily.
Breakdown of unemployment benefit claimants from the National Insurance:
- 59% aged 20-40
- 40% aged 41-67
- There are about 1,114 claims from people aged 67 and older.

Based on our latest verifications, the legislation on extension of unpaid leave reliefs for the month of December only passed in Knesset.
It shall be noted that the payment for the month of December will be transferred on 12/1, and as said, the National Insurance is actively overseeing digital adaptations according to the legislation enacted only at present.
