Heating grant payment to senior citizens


​On Sunday, 13.10.24, the National Insurance will transfer heating grants to 300 thousand senior citizens

Heating grants will be transferred to the bank accounts of 300 thousand senior citizens for a total of over 200 million NIS

  • The National Insurance will transfer on Sunday, 13.10.24, the heating grants to 300 thousand senior citizens amounting to 700 NIS which will reach a total cost of over 200 million NIS, as part of the assistance to the third age in paying electricity bills ahead of winter and before the end of Tishrei holidays.
  • The grant is paid to senior citizens who reached retirement age and receive an increment of income complement in addition to the survivors' pension, disability pension or old-age pension (in one of the months of October, November or December in 2024). Moreover, Shoa survivors are also entitled to the grant which amount will be transferred to them automatically on their bank account.
  • As said, overall, the amount of transferred grants will exceed 200 million NIS, and will be paid automatically, together with the allowance of the month of October, as a family grant to the bank accounts of eligible people. In cases where two spouses are entitled to the grant, it will be divided into two sums of 350 NIS for each of the spouses.
  • The National Insurance: heating grants are transferred each year to senior citizens and this year, too, they are paid automatically to the eligible in order to secure an assistance envelope, as much as possible, in parallel to the ongoing allowance they received, and they will see this National Insurance grant on their bank account as early as next week.
